The Beach Life

I love being on the beach when the sun comes up. There is this feeling that everything is going to be alright. It's like a sign that life as it is perhaps will not always be. Each new sunrise is like a new day, a new opportunity. So for me the beach life is not about just hanging out. The beach life for me means new hope, new life and new opportunities. So come my friends I invite you to experience and share the beach life.

Believe

I want to share this video I recently created. I get uplifted when I watch it. We need to believe. We need to believe that we can make it and achieve all we set out to achieve. We are powerful. Many times people try to discourage us. They try to keep us living in yesterdays failure as opposed to encouraging us to move to tomorrows success. We must never forget that those who want to do us harm are in darkness and are blinded to the truth that we have moved on. Anyone holding you back must be left behind. Don't even give them your ear. Don't listen to anything they say. They are a hindrance to your progress and prosperity. Just believe that you have arrived at your new destination and you will soon experience all you have believed.

Arise

I look at the sky in the early hours. The awesome sun peeking through the clouds, so close yet so far. I look intently because within me I realize that just as the sun rises so shall I. This is powerful to think about because the sun does this every day faithfully. Each day new and fresh with possibilities, faith and promises. If you are oppressed, mistreated, lonely or outcast from society, be at peace and begin to rejoice because the pattern of the sun embeds a message. The message is that no matter what you are going through it does not have to be forever. The sun will go down on the deep inner pain and turmoil and it can arise to love and peace. In fact if you have faith and action you will be able to mimic the sun. You will be able to arise. If you can receive this, you can arise this very moment as you read this blog. It all starts in the unseen realm of the inward person. Just see yourself arising out of your dark night and you will, in time, arise like the sun.

Henry Camphor: Learn to love Yourself

I am amazed at the reports of people saying they don't love themselves. I really think that many times we listen to the world too much. The world tells us you are too fat, you are too skinny, you need this gaget or you need that gaget. What tends to happens is if we can't keep up with the latest trends we get disappointed and feel like we don't measure up. It's like we have missed the big mark and don't belong.

People are in their nature, cruel. Humans like to exclude people and make themselves something bigger than they are. This is a fallen humanity. Selfish in its core. Humans like to put people down and oppress them. Many humans like to eternally punish others for mistakes made or mistakes percieved to have been made while they want to experience forgiveness for their mistakes. There are those individuals who want to be relieved of their debts all the while they want to keep others indebted to them. It's really crazy but that is how it is.

If we don't love us who will? If we don't learn to love ourselves no one will truly love us. We have got to understand that no matter how badly you made a mess of your life, you do not deserve to be punished for the rest of your life. No matter how many rejections you have had, that does not mean you deserve to be eternally rejected. If you have been abandoned, does not mean you deserve to be continually abandoned. If you have made mistakes, you don't need to be punished, banished or looked down on for the rest of your life because of something that happened five, ten years or even twenty years ago. Forgive yourself, forgive others and move on and love yourself.

Tree

Stand tall stand strong yes be powerful as a tree. I like trees because they are types of what we as people should be. We should offer shade and shelter to someone in need. A tree can offer you relief from scorching heat and strong winds. We should be a place that people can come set up a tent or nest. Comforted living with and in association with us. A tree is not easily blown down. We should be able to resist the winds of adversity. Yes, we should be like a tree and bear good fruit and make a positive impact in the lives of others. Like a tree planted by the waters let us hold on to our faith and not waver one inch. Our destiny is sure if we continue to live as a tree.

Today

Today is a brand new day. A day that never has been and a day that never will be again. Knowing this we should maks use of this day to the best of our ability and to our advantage. One way to do this is to have a to do list. Prioritize everything you have to do with the most important things at the top of the list. Another thing that can be done is set goals. Daily, weekly and monthly goals so that you can track your progress. The last thing i would say is to evaluate. How are you doing so far? If you are doing well, then continue your path. If you are not as produtive as you hope stop the direction you are going and change your plan. Then start going again. This is how you take advantage of your day. Remember, success is usuall more than on step put together in a certain directio. It is most often a number of days together with good choices mad rather than on big super day. Enjoy your day and may you experience success in all you do today and the many days that God gives you.

Finding you

It is an amazing thing try to find yourself. Most people don't know they are lost. I would say you are lost if you have no idea of why you are on the earth. If you don't know your gifts. If you don't know how you fit in the world you are lost. Sad to say many Christians I know have a relationship with God but are lost in the sense that they have not found their place in the world. How do you find you? Easier said than done because most of us are so bombarded with so many voices and opinions that we can't hear nor see what the lord is done and doing in our life. It's only the grace and mercy of God that comes and snatches the scales from our eyes, brings us to our senses and returns our reasoning. Then we can see clearly our purpose and how we fit. We then have found us. You will have found yourself. Once you found you, you live you. You live out your purpose everyday. Then you are sure it's the long awaited you. This is the place you have searched all your life. This is the real you.

Hope For Our Nation

I really wonder about our nation right now. With all the issues we have politically, socially, educationally and financially, I would say we are in a pickle. It is so sad to see that we live in a society that likes to point the finger at others and forget that when they point they have three fingers pointing back at them. We like to judge people but don't want anyone to judge us. But we need to remember what you do to others you actually bring it on yourself. No one seems to want to humble themselves. We really need to leave people alone. Let there business be there business and mind your own business.

Hope For Our Nation Voice Blog

We live in a gossip society and our news now has been so tabloidish that it can't be relied upon. We are a sad society only because left to our own we really will always act selfishly. You, yourself and yours. We need help and not a doctor Phil or some social guru. We really need Jesus to come back into our society. We need the word of God to be back in our schools. There is no fear of God so people are just doing whatever they think is right. Well I am here to tell you most of what we are doing in our society is not right. Many of our laws are not right. Many of the ways we treat our citizens is not right and we need Jesus to tell us what is right and wrong. The only hope for our nation is Jesus!

A Bright New Day

I feel this bright new day. The sun is shining and my smile is too. I feel a love that is so fresh and new. I have a warmth that warms as the sun. I radiate with a life giving spirit. I am overflowing with joy. Yes, I feel that this is a bright new day.

I fed about a hundred people this past thanksgiving. It's so powerful to make a difference, a positive difference in the life of someone else. After all what good is it to live for your own self? The needs are so great and there is so much to do outside of ourselves. So I have found me. It's so cool because not only am I smiling, God is smiling at me.

Thanksgiving and Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving and giving thanks. I think the two really are different. Seems like thanksgiving is really about a day of eating a big meal. I seldom hear anyone talk about giving thanks. I hear people talk about who is coming over. They talk about what they are going to eat. They watch a football game. They meet and greet new people. I have yet to be in a gathering for Thanksgiving and hear anyone talk about what they are thankful for. So with that I would say that Thanksgiving and giving thanks are different. What about you? Have you given thanks or are you just eating?

Henry Camphor: Changing the World One Thought at at Time

I often wondered how I am going to make a huge difference in the world. How am I going to change the world? Where will I begin? After all, there are many needs in the world all around on every side. Crazy thing about it is if I were to just look at my own life, heck I have needs myself. It is easy to get so consumed with our own needs that we forget that other people are experiencing some sort of need themselves. If we consider this fact it will keep us from getting into a pity party of how terrible our life is and how much we have failed and come short it this life. We can begin to realize that we are not alone.

We Need Each Other

I learned that in order to change the world I needed to change my thinking. My thoughts of how I am going to change the world gave way to how are we going to change the world. There is a difference in me trying to change the world for the better and teaming up with others to do the work. Also the moment I began to shift from being consumed with trying to meet my own needs to thinking of how I am gifted to meet the needs of others, then I found that my needs were actually being met. With this my conclusion was that I need others and others need me. Community is really about us and not just me. I can make a difference in the world on a greater scale when I partner with others who have the same desire.

The scope of this subject goes to the point that in changing the world, it is done one thought at a time. Starting with my own thoughts. Thoughts of team work and partnership as opposed to me, myself and I. The lesson learned is I need you and you need me and together we can change the world one thought at a time.

We are the 99% occupy oakland. It is amazing. Historic and educational. If you are a people person you would love being out here. I wonder though, where is the church? Where are the people of god? I know for sure there is two. Myself and marcello. No organized church group. I have seen budda folks, yoga folks, communist, this, that and the other. But no sign of the church. Oh there is a guy with a collar on...but as i said no sign of the church of the living god. People sharing ides and concepts and everything. No gospel no light no hope words. If we as the church are to be fishers of men then this is a great lake. Well i better get to work...on eating that is. The alameda labor council is feeding us. Occupy!

Henry Camphor: Masks and costumes

Funny about masks and costumes. People are going to dress up and become what they are not, at least officially for a day. When I thought about it, masks go way beyond October 31, to every day living. The question is are you wearing a mask, on a daily basis? If so, what would life look like if I stripped away the false masks? Hmmm very good thought.

Give Yourself A Chance

If you don't believe in you who is going to believe in you? Who is ever going to give you a chance if you won't give yourself a chance? It amazes me at how people tend to short change themselves and deny themselves the best life has to offer. Most of our limitations are really self imposed. We listen to so many excuses implanted into our hearts and minds by society and they cripple us. We pay attention to other peoples responses to us and that as well causes us to shrink back from greatness. If we don't begin to change our thinking and determine that we deserve the best life has to offer, then we will end up in the same rut as the masses. The rut is a bottomless pit of fear, failure and mediocrity. This is our destiny if we don't arise and give ourselves a chance.

How do we get out the pit?

1. Realize where you are. Realize you are in a pit and have been listening to other voices defining who you are and what you can and cannot do.
2. Begin to see possibilities for your life. See yourself accomplishing things that you or others have told you that you can't do. Achieve great things in your heart and mind through meditation.
3. Take action. Take action on things you have been thinking. Step out and go into your destiny. You have broken the chains now climb out the pit by taking action and manifesting you thoughts.

The Power of Attitude

Life is much too short to listen to self defeating ideologies and blabber mouth failures whom themselves have not achieved their destinies. If you are waiting for someone to come along and discover you, then you may be waiting a long time. It is in your best interest to believe in you and live above and beyond the expectations of others. My encouragement to you is to Give yourself a chance. Life is better that way.If you don't, Who will?

Henry Camphor: Put Your Best Foot Forward...It's Better This Way

Put your best foot forward because we can't afford to do anything less. A life of mediocrity is not going to cut it in these last days. Think of all the unrest, wars and rumors of wars, debates, and this, that and the other. It is a world full of illusions that we have to navigate through and hopefully come out unscathed on the other side. Wow! Take a breath and just thank God we have come this far.

Now more than ever we need to put our best foot forward and make a difference in the lives of others. Making a difference in the lives of other, in my opinion, the only thing that truly matters. Yes, invest in others is the best investment right now. Making a deposit of life, this is the greatest test of riches you can have. Yes put your best foot forward by doing something that is greater than you by serving someone else. Giving the gift of your love, acceptance and forgiveness. Start today, because the world needs it.

Henry Camphor: Give Your Best

I always say that if I am going to do something, I am going to give my best. I remember my army days. I was at the top if my basic training class. I maxed on the physical training test. I was a soldier of soldier. Why? Because I believed in giving your best. Even today I strive to give my best. Sometimes I feel that my best is not good enough, so I give more. How much is too much and how much is too little? Who is to say since we are all different. Guess if we ourselves are satisfied and others are blessed, then I would say this is your best. Anyway, I have given my best in making this blog. Time to sleep now.

Henry Camphor: Try and Try Again

If you have not had much success in life don't give up but try and then try again and again and again. many people stop short of victory. They don't continue on because they give up due to negative thinking or perceptions of others. Seems as if most people have opinions about everything and everybody. The best thing to do is remember that fact and make your own decisions. If you make a decision that turns out to not be the best one. Don't beat yourself up, make a better decision next time. Then try and try again.

I have been trying and trying. I've been able to get so far and then there is a blockage. I must keep going. Keep on keeping on. I will not give up, or give in. Fight I will, try and then I will try again until I hit victory. So my advice and encouragement for you is, try and try again.

Henry Camphor: Sleep Well

Are you the type of person who has a difficult time sleeping? If you are, I'd ask myself why. I don't have a difficult time sleeping. Heck I feel like I can fall asleep now. We need to get adequate sleep so we can function at 100% the next day. So with this understanding, I am going to sleep. Sleep well!

Henry Camphor: Never give up!

I don't know what you are going through. I know I am in the midst of a battle. One thing is for sure, I don't plan on giving up. The way I see it, I will never give up. We face challenges all the time. A Challenge does not mean our life is over. There may be a fierce fight, a setback or two, but I tell you nothing is worth throwing in the towel. There may be victory right around the corner. You never know when the storm will lift.  So I don't know about you, but as for me I will fight, fight and when I tire, I will fight some more. I will give it all I got, do the best I can, stay the course and never give up!

Henry Camphor: Making A World of Difference.

I have learned that I can make a world of difference if I take my eyes off my own failures and flaws and if I stop looking at the failures and flaws of others. It's interesting that when we focus on ourselves we tend to eventually point the finger at others and see all the negative in others. That's because life is like a mirror. If I don't like something in you it may be because it's what is in me. I have found that if I have eyes to see beauty and value in people I tend to see that in me. It's funny but the way we choose to see others and ourselves can make the world of difference.

Henry Camphor: Does It Ever Get Any Better? (Poem)

Does it ever get any better? Does the light ever shine at the beginning of the tunnel? Does the cookie never crumble? Does the s__t ever not hit the fan? Does the ball ever bounce the other way? I wonder about things, you know, life. I hear all the negative, all the bad, all the weak, all the sad. Does it ever get any better? Why is it that people are more open to hear gossip and lies then truth? Why is it that to share good news is not as exciting as sharing bad news? Why does it seem that many people want to hurt rather than heal, hate as opposed to love and destroy instead of build? Does it ever get any better? Should we not treat others as we want to be treated? Wouldn't it be nice to consider someone else and their well being as opposed to the self centered attitudes we tend to find today? Can I love others without being hated for doing so? Can I share my life without being looked at in a negative way? Why do people not speak when they pass someone on the street? Why do people see the pain of another and decide to make their pain more painful? If we were an immigrant would we not want to be accepted? Don't all of us want to be accepted? Don't we all want to be loved, embraced and respected? Does it ever get any better? Is it the blind leading the blind? Is it the strong kicking the weak where the sun don't shine? Will the kite fly without the wind? Can a man enter heaven laced with sin? Can a song be sang without the voice? How then can we be a nation without compassion? Where have we gone wrong? How wrong have we gone? Wealth and riches, have led us astray. Power and prestige have derailed our train. Righteous and justice, peace and truth have been laid to rest. Seems we have flunked and failed our finals test. Funny it doesn't matter if you do your best, cause it doesn't get much better than this.

Henry Camphor: Finish it

This is what I am doing right now. I am finishing this day up. Putting the fine tune to it and about to call it quits. I feel good when I finish the day strong having done all I planned to do. But sometimes I really don't finish the day having to work well into the next day. Not tonight, I've found that it's not that serious. So, I am going to finish this day even if I don't think I'm finished. After all, who says if I am finished or not? Guess it's me since I work for me. So with that, I'm finished!

Henry Camphor: Get Ready!!!

Get ready, get ready, get ready. You might ask, "Ready for what?" Ready for what ever you have been thinking about. I have come to the conclusion that all that is in my life today is a result of the belief system that I hold to. Now, I am the first to tell you I believe this and I believe that. But what I believe may not be walked out or manifested. For example, I believe in prosperity. So then why am I not balling out of control (Extremely Prosperous)? It is because of the disconnect between belief and action. Yesterday I took a leap forward from my belief to taking action based on my belief. I am not alone in this for I have talked to many people who are in the same rut I was in. Past tense because yesterday I came out. So with this...get ready to come out of your rut and live your beliefs with actions.

Henry Camphor: Late Night Dinner

I know it's late but I have to finish these ribs. Last night I made some beef ribs for the first time in my life. I put those bad boys in the oven with the heat at 380 degrees. Yummy! It's cool to do something new and different. try it and see. Step out the comfort zone and cook up something you never cooked before. Even if it is a late night dinner, try it, you just may find that tasty place.

Henry Camphor: Sharing My Life

How many times have you wanted to give a gift but did not know what to give? Have you ever considered giving yourself? Have you ever thought of sharing your experiences, your hopes and dreams? The life of a person is priceless. No matter what you have gone through in your life it is of great value. For one, no one has had the exact same experiences as you with the same responses and outcomes. The lessons learned, successes and failures. You are a diamond. Your words and very essence of your heart is priceless. Second, when you are gone so will the wealth unless you leave it behind in the heart and mind of someone or it is cataloged on video or audio of some sort. This is what I am up to, this is my quest. To create enough digital work that my very heart is given to make a difference in the life of anyone who partakes. Yes, this is my gift to humanity, as is.

Thank You Father

There are moments throughout the day when I just have to briefly pause and say, "Thank you Father." I feel it in my bones you know. I just want to thank God for just this very moment. I know I would never be where I am if it were not for the grace of God. That is why I pause and say, "Thank you Father." Some of you readers I know you know what I'm talking about. I am so thankful because I know I am only breathing now because of God. So when you get a moment, just a brief moment...give thanks to God!

A New Place In My World

I write the title as it is because it is as is. What I mean is, is that we have a world view of ourselves usually based on the place others have placed us in the world. For me this is a new place in the world, my world. I don't have to accept the worldview of others in relation to me, rather I choose where I fit and how much value I have.
I am in a good place right now. I am in a loving place right now. I am loved and I love, so what is more needed than that? I encourage you to find your place in your world, set your stake and dwell there unwaveringly. Find that love that flows from within and drink of that cup and you will experience the true love that does not fail. This is where I am and where I will remain. Yeah, this is my world.
